Synopsis:
“After a wild bet, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and cuddle with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who’s ten years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable.
While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn’t need glory or fame. She’s fine with being a “mere” ER doctor.
And every minute she spends with Daniel and the tight-knit town where he lives, she’s discovering just what’s really important. Yet letting their relationship become anything more than a short-term fling would mean turning her back on her family and giving up the opportunity to help thousands of people.
Bringing Daniel into her world is impossible, and yet she can’t just give up the joy she’s found with him either. With so many differences between them, how can Alexis possibly choose between her world and his?”

My thoughts
This was the first book that I read by Abby Jimenez and I absolutely loved it.
I was initially lured in as the main character worked as a doctor - I enjoy books of all kinds that have a medical setting, so I knew it would be right up my street. Once I started reading, I quickly began to root for the main couple and became attached to the cast of characters.
I particularly loved that I could pick up Yours Truly straight after I finished, which follows the main character’s best friend Brianna!
This book is everything that I love about a well written romance novel. The characters were well developed, there was a charming small town setting and the story had plenty of substance as well as a swoon-worthy romance.
I definitely recommend that romance fans give Part of Your World a read.
Frequently asked questions
Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about Part of Your World.
Do I need to read Part of Your World to read Yours Truly?
The short answer is, no, you don’t. The two books stand alone, although you will understand more of the references and avoid spoilers if you read Part of Your World first!
Which other books are set in the Part of Your World universe?
After reading Part of Your World, make sure you read Yours Truly and Just for the Summer. Both of these books are set in the same fictional universe and include cameos from some of your favourite characters.
Is Part of Your World spicy?
It definitely has some spicy scenes, but isn’t super graphic.
This book won’t be for you if you prefer a closed door romance without any spice. Similarly, if you like your romances packed with spicy moments then you might not love this one.
Personally, I thought that Part of Your World had the perfect amount of spice with plenty of substance to keep it interesting.
Do Daniel and Alexis end up together?
………………..
*SPOILER*
………………..
Yes, Alexis and Daniel do end up together after Alexis chooses to leave her job at Royaume Northwestern and sets up a practice in Wakan. This way Alexis was able to choose a happier life for herself, without giving up her medical career.
So it’s a happy ending!
