Latch Hooking, Weaving and Embroidery
I first found these kits after they went viral on Instagram and I’m SO glad that I gave it a go!
Before Craft Club Co I didn’t consider myself to be someone who was good at making things. I had a tendency to buy kits and never finish them, with several abandoned embroidery kits currently gathering dust in my office at home.
Then I bought my first moss coaster kit, which ended up being the gateway I needed to delve deeper into latch hooking. Now I’ve even made my first rug, which I’m incredibly proud of.
Latch hooking is a simple yet fun technique that is ideal for beginners, and can be used to create lots of fun craft projects.
Essentially, it involves pulling yarn or another fabric through a base to create a pile rug. The simple technique dates back centuries and has evolved from ancient rug making practices. It was even used in 4th-century Egypt and early Scandinavian works, although the modern technique used today more closely resembles rug making from the 1800s in England and North America.
I’ve always loved the idea of doing crafts, but I’ve never been that good at it. I’m the kind of person who will buy craft kits and never finish them, leaving a trail of unfinished projects in my wake.
This is where Craft Club Co comes in. I discovered their kits on Instagram and was instantly intrigued. They claimed to be suitable for complete beginners, offering clear, step-by-step instructions for a range of projects. Eventually, when their coaster kits were on sale, I purchased one and was delighted with the results.
In this blog post I will review five Craft Club Co kits, explain my crafting experience and share real photos of the results.

Content to come soon!
I’m a huge fan of Craft Club Co, so I was really excited to finally get my hands on their latch hook cushion kits.
I’ve completed several latch hook rugs before, and find the process to be really relaxing and meditative. I was looking forward to seeing how the cushion kits compare to the rug kits, what the quality’s like, and whether they’re as easy to complete.
