I’ve always loved the idea of crafting, but I’ve never been very good at it. I’m the kind of person who will buy craft kits and never finish them, leaving a trail of unfinished projects.
This is where Craft Club Co came in. I discovered their kits on Instagram and was instantly intrigued. They claimed to be suitable for complete beginners, offering clear, step by step instructions for a range of projects. Eventually, when their coaster kits were on sale, I purchased one and was delighted with the results.
In this blog post I will review the three Craft Club Co kits that I’ve used, explain my experience of using them, and show you the results.
Overview of Craft Club Co
Founded by Nakisah in 2020, Craft Club Co are based in Australia and started out by specialising in cross stitch kits. Today they offer a wide variety of projects, from latch hooking to weaving, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch and half stitch.
All of their products are one at a time purchases, and each kit includes everything that you could possibly need to complete the project.
What’s Included in a Craft Club Co Kit?
Something I love about Craft Club Co is that their kits include everything you need to complete their projects. This includes all of the materials and tools, such as a sewing needle or a latch hook.
The kits also come with complete instructions, along with a QR code that links you to a series of videos. This is really helpful as some techniques are much easier to learn by watching a video, as opposed to reading about how it should be done.
Typically each kit will include:
The tools needed to complete the project, such as a sewing needle
A template to work on
All materials required, such as thread or yarn
Printed instructions
My Honest Craft Club Co Review
To date I have had three Craft Club Co kits, and I’m pleased to say that I have enjoyed using all of them!
Floral Grove Moss Coaster Kit
Price: £29/$49.00 AUD
The first kit I bought was the Floral Grove Moss Coaster Kit, which I’d seen on social media. I really liked how quirky the moss coaster kits looked, and was excited to make one for myself.
This kit uses a combination of weaving and latch hooking techniques, none of which I’d tried before, but I was eager to learn. Each step was explained by the included video instructions, and I found most of it easy to complete.
Weaving the different types of yarn was fun, and I enjoyed using the bobble yarn which is something I hadn’t seen before. The only section that I struggled to complete were the flowers which had to be stitched on after weaving the soft grassy background. I attempted these a few times but ended up picking them out and leaving it as it was.
I think it looks great without the flowers so I’m happy with my result! One of the nice things about these moss coaster kits is that customisation is encouraged, so I really don’t feel bad about leaving off the flowers.
Overall this kit took me one evening to complete and I’m super happy with the results.
Strawberry Dreaming Rug Making Kit
Price: £59/$89.00 AUD
The next kit that I purchased was the Strawberry Dreaming Rug Making Kit. This is the most expensive kit that I’ve bought so far and is definitely my favourite.
The rug itself is easy to make. The kit comes with a pre-backed rug base that has a printed template showing where each colour should go. There’s just one technique to learn for this project, and that’s a simple latch hooking knot which can then be repeated over and over again.
As a novice crafter, it took me a little while to understand how to tie the knot, but after watching the instruction video a few times I managed to get the hang of it. After a while, tying the yarn to the rug base became meditative and I found the process very relaxing.
At one point I did make a big error and ended up tying some of the dark pink strands in an area that should have had light pink strands, but I was pleased to find this could easily be unpicked and fixed.
One thing I loved about this kit is that it did take many hours to complete, and I worked on it over the course of a month. It was a great activity to pull out in the evening while watching the TV or listening to a podcast.
I’m so happy with the final result. In my opinion it’s too pretty to put on the floor so I’m planning on hanging it on the wall like an art piece! I definitely plan on buying more rug kits in the future and will make sure to write another post all about it when I do.
Fruit Market Half-Stitch Pouch Kit
Price: £26.00/$44.00 AUD
This kit was sent to me for review by the brand, and I was excited to receive it and try something new. As previously explained, I’m not experienced with needlework so this was going to be different than anything I’d tried before.
I’ve been working on this project for a few days now and I’ve been really enjoying it. It definitely took me a few goes to nail the stitching technique, but I’m now finding it super relaxing and satisfying.
I will update this post when I’ve finished stitching, but so far so good!
Pros and Cons of the Craft Club Co kits

Provides a relaxing and creative experience, while helping you to learn a new skill
I think that one of these would make a great gift for anyone interested in crafts, or looking for a new hobby
The kits are well priced, and not too expensive considering the amount of hours you spend working on each project
Cons
Some of the kits have limited customisation opportunities

Is Craft Club Co Worth It? (Final Verdict)
In my view, yes, the kits from Craft Club Co are definitely worth it.
I’m so pleased with the items I have made so far, which include a rug, coaster and a pouch. Currently I have the coaster on my desk, I’m planning to hang the rug on my wall, and the pouch will be used for all of my leftover supplies from the kits.
If you want to take on a new hobby, or you’re someone who enjoys crafting, then you’ll love these.
Alternatively, if you really don’t enjoy crafting at all then these probably aren’t for you.
