Christmas Stocking

My first purchase on this list, I bought the Christmas Stocking kit so that I could make it for my nephew as a gift.

I’ve made loads of latch hook kits at this point, so I found this one really easy to make. If you’ve made one of the latch hook rugs or cushions before, then you will fly through this one.

If you haven’t tried latch hooking yet, then this Christmas Stocking kit is a great place to start. Once you learn how to knot the yarn onto the canvas, you just repeat that until you finish the pattern.

The Christmas Stocking kit comes in two options: Personalised Initial (which I bought) and Cozy Plaid.

Gingerbread House Rug

I picked this kit up as my partner was keen for me to make it for our apartment, and I’m so glad that I did.

The rug is absolutely stunning. Not only is the design fab, but I also love the colours, and the brown background has a lovely caramel tone to it.

I’d recommend picking up the Gingerbread House Rug if you’re looking for a big festive project. This is something that could take you weeks or months to complete (or a week and a half if you get totally obsessed like I did).

I’m so excited to put this out with the rest of my decorations this Christmas.

Twinkling Christmas Tree Moss Coaster

Price: £29/US$39 / AU$49

Time to complete: 3+ hours

This is a recommendation for anyone who loves making the Craft Club moss coasters.

I’d already made a few of these when I picked up the Twinkling Christmas Tree kit, and was excited to make another decoration for my apartment.

I particularly enjoyed the pipe cleaner element, which is something I hadn’t yet tried with the moss coasters. I enjoyed it so much that it inspired me to pick up another pipe cleaner craft kit, which you can see below.

I’m really happy with how this one turned out. It looks pretty, and I purposely positioned the Christmas tree in the centre as I’m planning to keep it as a decorative item only.
