Who Is the Well Read Company?
Specialising in book themed gifts, Well Read’s signature bags feature covers of well known literary classics. Imagine a large book with a beautiful cover that you can store things in, and on a strap so you can wear it too.
Their range features a variety of iconic titles, including works by Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Shakespeare and many more. I chose Little Women as it’s one of my favourite classic books, and I really liked the modern cover design.
Well Read Company Bag review - My Thoughts
The first thing I want to mention is that the quality of these book themed bags is exceptionally high. The bags are made from vegan faux leather and finished with gold coloured metal on the body and strap of the bag.
The bag itself is the perfect size for a day or evening out, and can easily be styled with a variety of outfits. I personally feel that these would make a great alternative to an evening clutch bag to accessorise a formal outfit - particularly as the strap is removable.
Inside the bag has one large main pocket and one smaller zipped compartment, with a magnetic clasp that holds the cover shut and keeps it secure. There’s also a lovely quote from the book inscribed on the back:
“I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship”
While lots of the bags are a similar size, do make sure that you check the dimensions of the bag you’re purchasing while on their website. They are available in two sizes, and my large bag measures 25cm x 19cm x 5cm.
