If you only have a few days to explore, you might be wondering where to stay so that you can make the most out of your trip.

My first piece of advice would be to not stress too much about the location! The public transport in Hong Kong is excellent - quick, clean, and super convenient.

That means regardless of where you stay, getting around will be no trouble - although some neighbourhoods might be more convenient for you than others. If there are particular areas you’re keen to explore, it might make sense to find accommodation that is close by.

What Area to Stay in Hong Kong for Sightseeing?

If you don’t have a lot of time and want to be on the safe side when choosing a hotel and neighbourhood, I recommend the Central District on Hong Kong Island.

If you’re hoping to do some sightseeing, there are plenty of potential options for accommodation. Here are my suggestions that will help you to pick the accommodation that’s right for you.

My first choice is undoubtedly the incredible Royal Garden Hotel. I stayed here while cruising Southeast Asia, and I was impressed as soon as I walked in! Even though I stayed for just a short time, I was amazed by all the facilities the hotel offered. For more detail, I recommend checking out my Royal Garden Hotel review

Their warm and inviting rooms start at $600 (£443), with breakfast available for an extra $44. You can enjoy a heated indoor pool, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and attentive service. This is the perfect choice for those who want a sophisticated experience.

Another hotel with elegantly decorated rooms is the Four Seasons, Hong Kong, with prices starting at $650 (£480).
