Budget Hotels in Mallorca
Here is my round up of some of the best budget hotels on the island.
A classic, characterful hideout close to Palma’s cathedral and harbour, Hostal Pons sits inside an old Mallorcan house with green-filled patios and authentic details. The rooms are simple and the location is amazing, with cafes and tapas bars on the doorstep and the seafront promenade just minutes away.
If you want something modern but still budget-friendly, try Brick Palma, which brings a cool energy to the historic city. This hotel has compact rooms with air-conditioning, a bar, and rooftop terrace for laid-back evenings.
It’s also walking distance from the major sights, and the casual design makes it feel like a city pad rather than a basic stopover.
Across the island on the north coast, you need to take a look at Hostal Vista Alegre, which is a family-run guesthouse. This hostel places you right by the marina and just steps from the beach. Expect unfussy rooms and that homey feeling you only get in small coastal towns.
For beach days, boat trips, and long strolls along the promenade, it’s a sweet little base that keeps travel simple.
Set in a charming square a few minutes away from Pine Walk and the marina, Hoposa Cultural Boutique gives you the best of Port de Pollença - with cafés, restaurants, and the beach all within easy reach. The rooms are soundproofed and comfortable, breakfast is generous, and the whole place has a low-key feel.
It’s the kind of spot where mornings start with coffee in the square and end with a barefoot wander along the shore.
Mid-Range Hotels in Mallorca
HM Balanguera is a sleek city hotel with smooth plaster walls, soft lighting, and a rooftop plunge pool. The rooms are calm and simple, the breakfast is said to be delicious, and you’re close enough to walk into the old town.

Another modern option with art-sprinkled interiors, a small urban spa, and a rooftop pool, Protur Naisa Palma has a quietly luxurious feel without a hefty price tag. The rooms are modern and comfortable, and you can spend your days bouncing between the indoor wellness area and the sun terrace depending on your mood.
It’s a polished base for city lovers who still want a pool day (or two).
In the heart of Sóller’s old town – seconds from Plaça de sa Constitució and the vintage tram – Hotel El Guía pairs mountain views with traditional Mallorcan warmth. After market mornings and valley rambles, return to the hotel for local food, a cozy lounge, and rooms with a traditional feel.
Right on Platja d’en Repic, this final option has sea views, balconies overlooking the the bay, and sandy strolls the moment you step outside. The Los Geranios is ideal for mornings hiking on the beach, chilling out on a sun lounger during the afternoon, and explore what the city has to offer at night.
It’s relaxed, friendly, and wonderfully placed for sea-and-mountain days.
Luxury Hotels in Mallorca
Tucked between olive-draped slopes and the honey-stone village of Deià, La Residencia is pure Mediterranean romance, with art-filled halls, leafy terraces, and rooms that open to Tramuntana views you’ll think about all year long.
You’ll have access to a serene spa, two pools, four restaurants, and a general old-world, bohemian grace Deià is famous for. If your dream Mallorcan break includes slow breakfasts under vines and sunset walks past citrus trees, this is the hotel for you.
Carved into a former 19th-century fortress on a protected cape, Cap Rocat is as dramatic as luxury gets. Spend your days relaxing in the subterranean spa, indulging in long lunches at the Sea Club, and enjoying quiet swims along a stretch of private coastline.
It’s secluded, cinematic, and unforgettable – a once-in-a-lifetime setting that still puts Palma within easy reach.
High above Port de Sóller, Jumeirah is another picturesque choice boasting panoramic views of the sea and mountains. Expect an impressive infinity pool, an indulgent spa, and sun-splashed terraces where cocktails taste even better at golden hour. The rooms are contemporary and very bright, and most have private balconies.
Finally, consider the historic Castillo Hotel Son Vid, which is set in a noble 13th-century castle above Palma. This hotel pairs heritage drama with resort-style calm, with grand salons, manicured grounds, a tranquil pool, and easy access to top golf courses.
Apartments in Mallorca
Set near the Tramuntana foothills and a pleasant walk from the beach, Duva is the spot to be in when you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Mallorca with a family. These spacious apartments feature kitchenettes, a relaxing pool, and a fully equipped spa and fitness suite.
It’s peaceful yet practical – close to Port de Pollença’s cafés and seafront, with room to spread out after sandy days.
The small complex of studio apartments at Montelín are located just a few minutes walk from the beach. They have all of the essentials, including kitchenettes, private terraces, and access to neighboring Hoposa facilities. It’s tidy, friendly, and perfectly placed for Pine Walk strolls and morning swims in the bay.
Right on Cala Esmeralda’s bright-blue cove, Inturotel Esmeralda Park mixes family-friendly space with breathtaking views. These apartments come with balconies and kitchenettes, as well as multiple pools, direct beach access and tennis courts.
This final option offers resort-style serviced apartments, just moments away from the Alcúdia beach. Zafiro Tropic is made for families, equipped with kitchen facilities, a choice of pools (including a pirate-ship splash area), and a packed timetable of activities.
If you want the flexibility that allows you to cook your own meals alongside the usual resort amenities, this makes a happy middle ground.
Regardless of where you book, you’re bound to have an an amazing holiday in sunny Mallorca. Enjoy!
